SchooLinks was introduced to NCSSM during the summer of 2024 as the schools new college and career planning platform. Within the platform, students are able to track service hours in the "Experience Tracking" section of the software. In the "Experience Tracking" area of SchooLinks, students will be able to log service hours, audience member participation, and their service presentations. Students service hours must be logged and approved by both the supervisor and Service Learning Coordinator in SchooLinks to count towards the 60 hour minimum NCSSM service requirement. During J-Term and 2nd Semester, students will submit an entry for their audience member participation and service presentations to receive credit. For now, you will find the directions to log service hours below in 3 formats. During J-Term, directions will be emailed and posted here as well for audience member and presentation entries.

NCSSM Outstanding Service Award
Seniors who log 150+ approved hours in SchooLinks by the end of day May 11, 2025 will receive the NCSSM Outstanding Service Award badge in SchooLinks AND will receive the award during the senior awards ceremony. The award comes with a certificate signed by Chancellor Roberts and the NCSSM Service Learning Coordinator, Sue Anne Lewis.
Juniors will have until a date TBD in May 2026 to earn 150+ hours. If they earn it during their junior year, they will receive the SchooLinks badge at that time.
How To Log Audience Member Participation & Service Presentations
Members of the class of 2025 who completed their audience member participation during J-Term/2nd Semester of their junior year should have this reflected in their SchooLinks Experience Tracker for Audience Member participation. If you attended a service presentation, please email the Service Learning Coordinator to check facilitator attendance records.
For now, members of the classes of 2025 and 2026 should not be logging experiences for audience member participation or their service presentation. Students will receive information about how to do that in early January when presentation session information and sign ups are released.
